This Rolex Datejust from 1981 is in amazing condition. It sat in a box since it was received as a gift in 1982. The lume on the dial has turned a beautiful shade of pumpkin, which is uniform across the dial and hands. The silver dial is in pristine condition, with no visible discoloration or marks. The case is unpolished and has no major scratches anywhere. The bracelet has zero stretch. It's in perfect condition. I had this watch serviced by my local watch maker in 2023. As you can see from the timegrapher pic, it is running well. Four items to note: 1) There are no extra links and I have not sized the bracelet. I have a wrist slightly smaller than 7 inches. Currently, if I use the farthest microadjust hole, it fits my wrist perfectly. There are about an inch of microadjust holes, so this should fit wrists from roughly 6.8 to 7.8 inches without removing links. 2) There is an engraving on the caseback. Please see the pic of it. This Rolex was given to an IBM employee to commemorate 25 years of service. 3) There is one small scratch on the plexiglass crystal. Presumably, polywatch would take care of this, but I haven't tried it. You can see the scratch in some of the pics. It's above the 8 o'clock marker. The rest of the crystal is clean. 4) The first photo is a stock photo. The rest of the photos are pics of the watch that I took with my camera phone. Some were taken outside, others inside. I bought this watch last year. It was owned by a gentleman who received it as a service gift from IBM but never wore it. When he passed, his son sold me the watch. It is truly in amazing condition. I have never seen a vintage watch so pristine. After servicing it, my watchmaker said the same. Everything in this watch is 100% original. This beautiful 16030 Rolex Datejust comes with the original inner box, outer box, hangtags and manuals.
